We do not need new tolls. Tax and spend is driving the middle class working family out of NYC. Its time to manage. Mange MTA costs of public transportation and construction projects. Like the Eastside access project. Forcast at 1.6 billion; now approaching 10 billion to complete. Its almost criminal.!! What are you doing about this.!! Raise tolls.???

Albany has not demonstrated any ability or desire to control costs. Its so easy to raise tolls and say its for bridge and road repair. The public just goes along with it.No questions asked. There are no metric to measure;no funding details with time lines. Just spend the money. These next so called transportation funds have already been raised in the form of tolls and taxes. Unfortunately those funds have been mismanaged so they say they need more. The public needs 100% transparency. Albany should present on-line a full MTA expenditure summery and budget with metrics of cost and funding; every quarter. Where do the billions go.??? Let the public investigate and figure out a solution. N.Y.S. politicians are useless...

Manhattan is only one of the five boro's and yes we absolutely have to drive from Queens or Brooklyn to Long Island daily. Increasing tolls only funds and facilitates MTA waste ,fraud and corruption. High tolls on trucking only increases the cost of goods; sold like food. The tolls should be reduced.

Reduce congestion by cutting the number of taxi's and Uber cars unleashed in the last several years. Cut congestion by having traffic engineers take a reasonable look at the timing of street lights and adding turning signals. No one wants to here it but when a combustion engine runs at 10-20 mph the pollution is 60% higher than when it runs at 30-35 mph and the more run hours a car runs on the street due to deliberate efforts to stall traffic the polution increases accordingly. Just take a look at the numbers with traffic flow.

The lack of enforcement of DMV/NYCDOT rules creates mayhem and is a major accident waiting to happen. I work in multiple locations in and around the City and must drive. I am an experienced driver with over 25 years on the road. I constantly witness bikes driving the wrong way or at night with no lights.They speed up and drive into your turn so can slam on your brakes. They run stop signs and turn into traffic without looking when a car is doubled parked.The lack of accountability has created a culture that bike and pedestrians can walk in front of a car and not adhere to traffic rules and they don't.. This is madness as a driver has to look in many directions at once. We have skate boards;motorized bikes;mohead bikes and cyclists all on the bike path with no training on NYC automotive law and safety behavior. Blaming the motorist because we can; may be convient but trajedy will happen and then the blamers move in. We need a manager not a mayoral friend and appointee to be in charge of this issue.

Taxi and Uber drivers park commercial vehicles on residential streets every day. Its against the law and these vehicles should be ticketed. Why are the ticket agents ignoring this. Are they being told not to ticket taxi's and Uber vehicles and only ticket neighborhood cars. Lets end the Bloomberg culture of two sets of rules. The rules of its done because I can. Enforce the law as its written. Not based on your personal doctrine...

Charging trucks higher tolls just increases the cost of food and any product trucked to NYC. The truckers work on slim margin and are not eating those costs. I suggest you Synchronize the traffic lights city wide with strong imput from traffic engineers to create good traffic flow. Randomly Inhibiting traffic flow does not help the situation.This is the Bloomberg doctrine. Hurt drives ability to move and some how thats a good thing. You want product and people who drive; to flow and not sit and double the amount of time on the road which triples pollution. You could have traffic lights operate the old way and stay green for miles say from 4:30 am to 6am. Truckers would take advantage of this and get on and off the road earlier. So would some drivers. The outer bourghs need more access to good traffic flow than Manhattan due to existing infrastructure. Also main secondary streets need better flow for small business to conduct business...

Similar to vehicle enforcement. Tickets issued to bikers for driving the wrong way;driving without lights at night;running red lights etc. NYPD should enforce the law for every one on the road. Education thru public announcement on TV and maybe postings at bike shops..

NY politicians chose to only enforce traffic rules that satisfy there political position. This creates Chaos and feeds bad behavior. Uber cars and taxi's are commercial vehicles that should be ticketed for parking on residential area's over night. Motorized bikes;mini-bikes and tandem bikes towing small children in bike lanes with and against traffic will create a serious accident. Why do people have to die in an accident before we enforce traffic laws. These on-going actions need to be ticketed.
